Wire-o binding is a very flexible form of binding and is commonly used in the production of tent calendars, wall calendars, note books, and book production.

Popular styles are a standard wire-o binding where the text sheets and front and back covers are punched on the binding edge and held by wire. Full Canadian wire-o is where the cover is one piece of printed material that is bound by wire at the back and front cover, creating a cover spine that, if required, may be printed. Lastly, a half Canadian wire-o bound is where a one piece cover of printed material is bound on the back only leaving the front cover to fold back on itself. This can also have a printed spine if required.
